This is a fabulous instructional video on how to make candles at home! Now personally, I am not a very crafty person, but I love the idea of making candles homemade. It seems so much simpler than other crafts and I also love the fact you can make super strong scented candles whenever you want! I often find candles do not smell as strong as I’d like them too – the perfect solution is making the candles homemade! I also like that this video is a bit different because she is using a double broiler – what a great idea! If you have made candles and have some great tips, please share in the comments section! This is an interesting video on how to make Sand Candles. I had never heard of this but I think it would be a great idea for a beach or pool party! These are so pretty once they are finished. I can’t believe how the sand forms to the wax, almost magically. They remind me of some sort of gemstone rock once they have set. I can see these selling in stores for quite a bit of money, when in reality they are quite cheap to make! I also like the picture above showing sand candles that have had some sea shells added after they set for extra prettiness!

I found this video on youtube today showing Martha Stewart making candle molds.  I love how these candles look like wood.  She talks about “Faux Wood” and how she collects this.  She is making these candles out of beeswax and they resemble sticks or twigs.

These candles look quite rustic and use only a few materials to make.  Appears you need some patience and craft instincts but other than that, it appears pretty simple.
